Forging is a process through which metals are formed by hammering, pressing, or rolling. These compressive forces are applied to the steel using a hammer or mold. Forging is often classified into hot and cold forging according to the temperature at which the operation is performed.
Forged steel is an alloy of carbon and iron that is compressed under extreme pressure to create a very hard and strong material. Forging of steel is currently done using specialized machines or hydraulic jacks.
Forging oil is usually used in forging operations in order to deal with the adhesion of the part to the mold and to facilitate its removal, as well as to reduce friction and lubrication in forging operations.
According to the type of forging operations, two types of hot and cold forging oils have been produced and supplied by Khonak Kar Sepahan production unit.
Cold forging oil KH-FT1000
With high pressure tolerance as well as anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties, this product is used in cold-metal forging operations and can increase the process speed and reduce damage to the metal surface and the machine. It also prevents the piece from sticking to the mold.

Hot forging oil (water graphite) KH-WG1000
This oil is a concentrated suspension based on graphite, with high thermal resistance and lubricity, which can be used in hot-forging industries, hot hammering by sledgehammer and lubrication of various operations taking place on the hot metals, such as press molds.
